ABOUT IEEE UGANDA SUBSECTION
IEEE Uganda Subsection formation was not easy one, as there were few memberships who didn’t even know themselves. It took effort to form the subsection, where an email was sent to IEEE head office to help send names and contact of IEEE members in Uganda so that a meeting could be organized to forge way to form the IEEE section. The positive response came in 2013 through Vincent Kaabunga who was instrumental in the formation of the Subsection. Once the list of IEEE members in Uganda was sent, immediately a meeting was organized at Makerere University CEDAT main hall on the 25th June, 2013, between 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The photo below shows the members present who attended the meeting and local leader leaders were selected to lead the section and begin the process of petition to form the section.
